good stuffI reported earlier (in German) that I was unable to install Windows-7 Professional from the German Windows-7 DVD which was available via TechNet. Instead of using the English Professional-Edition with Language-Pack (which you can’t install without 3rd-party tools anyways) I did some research.

If you delete die file ei.cfg from the source-directory of the DVD-image, you’ll be asked upon installing Windows 7 which of its versions you want to install:

A nameless developer was kind enough to put together a little tool, which deletes the ei.cfg within fractions of a second.
