Jumplist-Launcher v7 released – default action now possible

One week after releasing version 6 of the Jumplist-Launcher here is already the next one.
I put a lot of time and effort in the development of the Jumplist Launcher (and will spend even more in the future). That’s why I want to say, that I would be really happy about a small donation. The following button can be used.

Finally anyone is able to create Jumplists. The problem was caused by security-settings.

Big thanks go to 王立夫, Ahmed El Gabri, AJ Gray, Marcos Esperón and exceptionally Merlin Silk for their great help troubleshooting the application.

The new version offers a lot more than just this fixed bug:

Default entry

A lot of people asked for a possibility to open a custom entry from the Jumplist instead of the Jumplist-Launcher after clicking its superbar-icon. You only have to put a checkmark on one of the entries. In order to be able to start the Jumplist-Launcher configuration an entry for it will be appended to the Jumplist (see below).

Revised user interface

Heiko Eckendorf sent me the draft for a revised user interface, which I liked very much. That’s why I revised the user interface again, so it’s slicker than ever before.

Sehr tolles Programm, vielen Dank dafür. Kann es sein, dass du u. a. in deinem Video die W7 Benutzerkontensteuerung abgeschaltet hast? Ich habe sie noch aktiviert (ohne Benachrichtigungen aber, ist bequemer), aber bekomme dadurch dieses Windows Security Shield-Symbol vor die Verknüpfung geklatscht, wenn ich ein anderes Symbol statt dem JL-Standardsymbol in der Taskbar haben möchte. Hier sehe ich, ist das nicht der Fall. Liegt das nur an UAC oder gibt es einen Trick, ein anderes Symbol für die Taskleiste zu nutzen ohne gleich die imageres.dll bearbeiten zu müssen um das Schild nicht sehen zu müssen?

Hallo Ali,

Jumplist-Launcher v7.1 funktioniert bei mir überhaupt nicht (Windows 7 Home Premium, Version 6.1.7600 Build 7600).
Es ändert sich die Jumpliste vom JL kein bisschen, nachdem ich die Gruppen definiert und auf “update jumplist” gedrückt habe???
Weiters habe ich festgestellt, wenn ich vor einem der Programme den Haken aktiviere und dadurch ein File namens “defaultstart.dat” generiert wird, dann kann ich den Jumplist-Launcher erst gar nicht mehr öffnen??? Es kommt nur kurz das “Busy-Symbol” das sofort wieder in den normalen cursor übergeht und passieren tut NICHTS.
Leider kann ich keine weiteren Angaben machen, weil es keinerlei Fehlermeldung gibt.
Schade, Deine Idee finde ich sehr gut, nur ich kann sie nicht nützen, keine Ahnung warum

  Mach mal nen Rechtsklick auf den Start-Knopf von Windows, dann Eigenschaften->Im Reiter Startmenü, dann den 2. Haken setzen.

  Danke für Deine Antwort. Der Haken war schon gesetzt, aber mittlerweile habe ich das/die Problem/e lösen können, war etwas knifflig:
  Hauptproblem war, ich hatte ursprünglich den JL-Folder in /Programme, da hat gar nichts funktioniert.
  Lösung des Problems war, den JL-Folder nach /Programme (x86) zu verschieben – (Ich hatte schon so eine Ahnung daß das womöglich mit 64bit/32bit zu tun haben könnte).
  Dann gabs noch Probleme mit der Anzeige der icons, was ich auch lösen konnte, indem ich die Berechtigungen von /icons im JL-Folder aufgedreht habe.
  Zuletzt wollte mir die neue Jumpliste nicht alle Einträge anzeigen was ich durch herumprobieren mit den beiden Zahlen für zuletzt geöffnete Programme und Programme in der Jumpliste ebenfalls lösen konnte.
  
  Kurz gesagt, es funktioniert jetzt

Hmm.. unfortunately this version won’t update the jumplist like v5 and v6 did. Instead, it asks me to change a setting in the start menu that is already set.

Also, the old version (v6) would run the wrong program most of the time, if the program name was the same. For example, if you have firefox 3.5 and the beta of firefox 3.6 (or nightly of 3.7), then it runs the same version regardless of what the filepath is. They all are firefox.exe, but each is in a different folder.

  For the first problem, please download Jumplist Launcher again. I just ninja-patched v7 so this problem shouldn’t occur anymore.
  
  For the 2nd problem, please send such a settings.dat to alizige at gmail.com so I can find out what this problem is about.
